The Tallyn’s Reach Metropolitan District is a governmental entity that has the power to impose property taxes and other monetary charges. The districts are responsible for the following: - Constructing the major public utilities and roads within our community
- Manage the operations and maintenance of all common areas such as landscaping and parks

For someone with a $350,000 home, this equates to a roughly $1300 yearly tax bill to finance the community infrastructure. Most new developments appear to fall within a Metropolitan District. This forces them to pay for major public utilities and roads that would not be built. Instead of raising property taxes, this seems to be the "end around" which winds up under a property owner's tax bill. In addition to the metro district tax bill, we also pay for the other services provided by the district. The current Metro District dues are currently set at $XXXper quarter.
